OPERATING FREQUENCY: The low 4.8 kHz frequency allows the device to operate with better results than other VLF detectors on highly mineralized soil.

An extremely steady, deep VLF relic detector is the Detech Relic Striker. It is made to look for large objects buried far below ground. In comparison to other VLF detectors, the low 4.8 kHz frequency allows for operations on highly mineralized soil with superior results. Due to the challenges in accurately detecting non-ferrous metals in depth, many professional treasure hunters opted for VLF low-frequency metal detectors rather than PI detectors. The detector may be used at any temperature and has a waterproof, shock-resistant search coil (with UV - protection). Due to its 18x15 inch (38 cm x 46 cm) dimensions, it can cover more ground and reach depths of up to 1.5 m for large treasures. Results beyond the reach of many PI detectors.
