Treasure Hunting Using Various Technologies

Detectors like the OKM Delta Ranger are not available anywhere else! This multi-technology treasure detector specializes in detecting gold objects, relics, treasures, voids, tunnels, and tombs in difficult-to-access terrains. In one device, the detector has six operating modes:

  1. Bionic Stream–  .OKM's long-range mode detects newly hidden gold.
  2. Ionic Stream–   OKM's long-range mode detects long-buried gold.
  3. Magnetometer–  OKM's fast detection technology for the preparation and optimization of 3D ground scans.
  4. 3D Ground Scan–  OKM's renowned 3D imaging technology detects treasures down to 60 ft (18 m) depth.
  5. Thermo Scan–  OKM's thermography mode is used to map hidden tunnels and rooms behind walls and underground.
  6. Thermo Stream –  OKM's real-time thermography mode detects hidden caves and tombs behind walls and underground.

Furthermore, Delta Ranger includes new features that take treasure hunters even further, as well as user-friendly features such as

Compass in digital form
Visual indication of the target
The operation is multilingual in 14 languages, which enhances the treasure hunting experience. After measurements, control via smartphone app simplifies sharing and analyzing scan data.

The Delta Ranger Light is ideal for initial explorations of unknown terrain in search of locations for successful treasure hunting. The quick overview of large areas will be especially useful for treasure hunters who don't know where to start detecting.

Long-Distance Gold Prospecting Using a Smartphone
The OKM Delta Ranger can be used as a long-range gold detector with the Long-Range Probe (L) to find buried objects at distances of several miles. Cross Bearing can be used to determine the exact location of gold objects (Triangulation). Because Ionic and Bionic Stream are long-range search modes, the probe is used horizontally.

The Bionic Stream (Bio-Energy-System)
The Bionic Stream interacts with the detector user's natural bio-energy during gold detection to analyze minimal changes in object substances. Gold prospectors and treasure hunters can find almost any gold object, regardless of how long it has been buried. Thus, Bionic Stream is especially recommended for the search of recently buried objects such as gold jewelry, statues, rings, coins, bars, and bullions.

The Ionic Stream (Ions-Chamber-System)
The mode of operation The ions radiation (ions absorbent) of buried gold objects is measured by Ionic Stream. As a result, when measuring, the direction is critical to success. During the measurement, the integrated digital compass indicates the direction.

This detection method is designed to find gold artifacts that have been buried for a long time. The longer an object remains underground, the better Ionic Stream can detect it.

Long-Term Performance in Bionic and Ionic Streams
Bionic Stream enables gold prospecting in humid environments, on wet soils, and even on rainy days. Unlike many other long-range detectors, this mode does not require dry grounds.

Furthermore, both long-range modes, Bionic Stream and Ionic Stream, perform best in sparsely populated areas. Because the integrated sensors are extremely sensitive to changes in the ionic and bionic fields, accuracy improves dramatically in undeveloped areas.

Gold Detection: Triple Feedback on a Hit

A hit in the long-range modes is indicated by:

acoustic feedback (if sound is enabled)
vibration (if vibration is enabled) (if vibration is enabled)
visual feedback (flashy crosshairs).

Cross Bearing Treasure Detection and Verification (Triangulation)
Triangulation (Cross Bearing) is a method of locating a target by using two or more points. It is likely that if you get hits on the same target spot from different positions, it is a potential target.

More Probes, More Treasures with Delta Ranger Professional

With the addition of two probes, the Delta Ranger transforms into a Professional detector, capable of not only long-range gold detection but also 3D ground scans and deep subsurface analyses.

3D Ground Scan provides the best depth performance.
When you plug in the Ground Scan Probe (G), you gain access to two operating modes that allow you to take vertical measurements of the ground: magnetometer and 3D Ground Scan.

Magnetometer mode

To prepare the scan field and clear it of ferrous items close to the surface, the ready-to-use operating mode is recommended. This enables the subsequent 3D Ground Scan to detect buried objects in the ground even deeper and more accurately.

3D Ground Scan

3D Ground Scan mode on the OKM Delta Ranger
OKM is well-known for its 3D imaging detection technology, which was created and engineered in Germany. 3D Ground Scan is the most effective operating mode for locating target objects up to 60 feet (18 meters) underground.

After saving the measurement, treasure hunters can thoroughly examine the scan image to determine the position, size, and depth of the detected targets prior to excavation.

Thermography can be used to detect hidden passageways and tunnels.

Using the Thermo Probe (T) unlocks 2 more operating modes that allow both horizontal and vertical measurements: Thermo Scan and Thermo Stream.

Thermo Scanner

Larger surfaces can be scanned for temperature differences using Thermo Scan. The surface is measured with the detector using a specific scheme, just like in the established 3D Ground Scan operating mode.

The OKM Delta Ranger is ideal for measuring horizontal wall surfaces due to its extremely short probe. As a result, temperature differences on walls can be seen, providing hints to hidden rooms and corridors behind them.

Furthermore, the detector can be used vertically (similar to 3D Ground Scan) to detect underground cavities, chambers, and tunnels.

OKM Delta Ranger

For the simplified visualization of temperature differences, the Thermo Stream operating mode uses the live camera image as the background and a so-called false color scheme. It is possible to precisely determine the surface temperature of objects and surfaces at specific points if both are correctly tuned using the crosshair calibration prior to the measurement.

  • The temperature of the targeted object's surface is displayed.
  • as a simplified color point cloud on the camera image, by a pointer on the temperature scale, as a value in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.

Detection of the Void and Caves Inspired by Science
Color associations are commonly used in thermography for everyday products such as a thermostat or a faucet: blue is associated with cold, while red is perceived as warm.

False color schemes (or pseudo color schemes) are preferred in science. To make fine nuances of a tone more distinguishable, the false color representation employs colors that differ from the natural color impression.

Because of this advantage, the Thermo Scan and Thermo Stream modes employ the false color spectrum: from black (cold) to blue, purple, red, and yellow (warm).
